Certification in EU Code of Conduct on Data Centres efficiency

In response to the rising challenges facing Data Centres owners and customers the European Commission have introduced the Code of Conduct for Energy Efficiency in Data Centres.  The Code aims to recommend best practice solutions and to raise awareness of the issues and opportunities.

This course introduces the Code, the benefits it brings, the levels of commitment required, the technical background to the best practices, data collection and reporting together with worked examples.  The course will enable everyone working in Data Centres to improve cost and energy efficiency helping Participants to articulate the value of their products and service. ADJUGO is an official endorser of the EU Code of Conduct on Data Centres.

Description

The ongoing development of the Code has created a best practice framework for everyone involved in Data Centres to work towards and aspire to. The Code encompasses topics associated with new Data Centre planning and development as well as tuning and operation of existing facilities both of which will be covered in detail.

The course includes the exam Qualification ISEB Intermediate Certificate in EU Code of Conduct on Data Centres.

Course material

The course material provided includes all presentation materials, notes and additional handouts.  The different topics will be supported by the latest information available; real cases will be discussed.
The latest release of the Code of Conduct will be the guideline for the course.

Speaker

Gary Thornton has a University Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He has more than 25 years experience in telecommunication and Data Centre management and optimisation.  As Technical Director, Gary has responsibility for the development of competency assessment and skills training for major Datacomms companies; development of the Practitioner Course in energy efficiency and implementing the EU Code of Conduct in Data Centres and the Certified Data Centre Design Professional programme (CDCDP™).
